1.Background and Superiority of the Project
With the rapid and sustained economic development in our country, China has become the biggest energy producer and consumer in the Asia and Pacific region. According to the relevant statistics, it consumed a total of over 200 million tons of oil and its oil importation reached 70 million tons. The chemicals & raw materials transshipment base is planned to be built on the Lidiaoshan island of the Chenggang town west of Zhoushan, which has already been connected with the main island by sea-crossing bridges. The island has 1.64 square kilometers of land area and 1500 meters of deep-water coastline with a 20-meter water depth 150 meters away from the shore, enjoying excellent berth construction conditions and sound supporting infrastructure facilities.
2.Project Construction and Scale
Planned for transshipment and tank storage of chemicals and raw materials, this base is to be built by two stages. The first phase project will build one 50,000-tonnage berth (which can also accommodate 80,000-ton oil and chemicals vessels) with a yearly handling capacity of 1 million tons and a tank storage capacity of 80,000 cube meters. The second phase project will build one 10,000-tonnage berth and one 50,000-tonnage berth with a yearly handling capacity of 3 to 5 million tons, whose tank storage capacity will reach 350,000 to 400,000 cube meters. The total investment is estimated to be USD29.30 million with an investment recovery period of 7.56 years and an investment return rate of 9.63%.
3.Cooperation Form
Joint venture, cooperative or wholly foreign-owned. Zhoushan side will provide the construction site and relevant supporting facilities and the investors can build and manage the project by themselves.
